Santa Cruz Beach Vacation Home Rental

A Santa Cruz Beach Vacation Home is unique among central California Beach areas in that people come here to go into the water – Not just to look at it.

While the water is chilly Surfers typically wear Wet Suits year round. The northern arch of Monterey Bay currents that sweep other parts of the northern and central coast protect it.

Popular activities include Surfing, Boogie board Riding and Swimming as well as Dry Land Sports like Volleyball.

Over its long history, Santa Cruz has been a haven for a thriving Native American culture, Spanish Missionaries, and Flower Children.

Now it hosts hordes of fun seeking Tourists. What has attracted each of these groups is the areas warm climate and bountiful waters of Monterey Bay.

A Santa Cruz Beach Vacation Home Rental is not complete with out seeing Santa Cruz’s other claims to fame.

A lively Beach Boardwalk and an Amusement Park that includes a Magnificent Wooden Roller Coaster and Huge Indoor Arcade.

Some of the other beaches nearby are:

Seacliff State Beach - As at the Monterey area Beaches to the south, you can swim here. Lifeguards are posted at towers on the pier between Labor Day and Memorial Day, making this a relatively safe place to swim or ride a Boogie board.

Capitola City Beach - The Surf is gentle enough for Swimming and water play. You can Fish from the Pier, and a variety of nearby Shops and Restaurants make this a pleasant, convenient place to spend the day.

Twin Lakes State Beach - Located at the Mouth of a Lagoon, the water is warmer here then at many area Beaches.

Cowell Beach - Even in California, few Beaches seem so given to the pursuit of fun as Santa Cruz Main Beach. It attracts serious Surfers and Volleyball Players.

Lighthouse Field State Beach - Also know as Steamer Lane, this isn’t really a Beach, but a stretch of extremely Rocky Shoreline below the cliffs popular among Surfers.

The following is some information about other place to see while you are in the area. You can check out San Francisco Vacation Homes and California Coastal Vacations
